CO-WRITTEN WITH THE AMAZING SEGUL FOR THE PEANUT BUTTER & GAME JAM

This game includes themes of fear, isolation, suspense, desperation, despair, violence, nuclear fallout, mental deterioration and illness, descriptions of auditory hallucinations, suicide, suffocation, existential crisis’, murder and death.

When the last of the hydrocarbons were almost burned up, a desperate fear gripped the planet Earth. And so, as ever, we looked to the stars for hope. The powers of the world fitted a thousand ships to head out in a thousand paths into the void.

You are a crew of only two, and your task is simple. Find a way to save Earth. And now it seems you might have found it. A dead planet: no longer able to support life. A dead city: devoid of anything but ghosts. A dark sun: giving only wisps of eerie grey-green light. Yet, they have technology the likes of which you’ve never seen, and so you and your companion must explore this city of ghosts.

To play, you will need:

  • You (for a solo game) or you and another person (if a duo game)
  • A standard deck of cards with the jokers removed
  • A 6-sided dice
  • 10 tokens
  • A jenga or other tumbling block tower (optional)
  • Something to record your story/write in, such as a notebook, word processor, or voice recorder.
